ABC Regional Conference

Last weekend, I traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to attend the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) Southeast Regional Conference at the Westin Hotel. I am proud to be a member of ABC, which is the oldest and largest group of wedding professionals in the world.

We enjoyed two days of wonderful activities starting with a book signing and networking session, a welcome reception, and a priceless round table discussion in our pajamas Saturday night!

Sunday's session was jam packed full of great food and wonderful speakers. First up was David Wood the President of ABC. We also heard from Shinar Hurd, Shay Freeman, and a representative from Sandals Resorts. Our headline speakers were the very talented author and wedding planner Mary Dann and author and magnificent designer Sasha Souza.

I had to take a picture of this adorable cake before they cut it. It was the perfect end to an exciting experience.

Ghost Chairs

A great way to make your wedding reception or event very modern is to rent ghost chairs. The beautiful clear chairs match any color decor you select. They also come in a wide range of tints. I personally like the original clear and the black tinted ones.

The Daughter-In-Law Rules App

I wanted to tell everyone about a cool thing. Sally Shields, a wonderful author that I admire has an iPhone app inspired from one of her books called The Daughter-In-Law Rules. The App is called Daughter-In-Law Rules Quiz. You can download for free by going to the iAPP store on an iPhone and punching in: iDIL

Calla Lily

C is for calla lily of course. By far my favorite flower. I carried a similar bouquet to this one, except that it was white, when I walked down the aisle thirteen years ago to my wonderful husband.
Since purple is one of my favorite colors, I decided to show you how beautiful they can be in this royal color. In fact calla lily means magnificent beauty. I agree. Don't you?
