Photo Booth Anyone?

A fantastic trend this year is having a photo booth at your wedding reception. We all remember the excitement of entering a photo booth with our friends and having a great time posing and making silly faces. Then waiting a few minutes to see how great you looked. I guess we never got over that excitement.
Today, photo booths are still a big hit. Not only can a booth be a fun activity for you and your guests, but your guest can take home pictures as their wedding favor as well as leave pictures for a scrapbook of lasting memories for you. So why not let your wedding guests enjoy a photo booth at your wedding? We won't tell them that you really got it so you could make funny faces in it with your new spouse!

Hotel Palomar Midtown

Yesterday, I attended a Lunch and Learn networking event at the brand new Hotel Palomar in Midtown Atlanta. The event was hosted by Atlanta Occasions Magazine and Atlanta Bride and Groom Planner.

The Hotel Palomar is simply beautiful. It is everything that you would expect from a luxury hotel. The lobby was filled with wonderful artwork, a fireplace, a huge fish tank, and marble everywhere you looked.

When I went upstairs to the terrace level, I was pleased again with what I saw. They have ample seating, fire pits, an outdoor bar, and cabanas. Sitting on the beautiful terrace for a few minutes can make you forget that you are in the heart of the city.

The Proposal

Let's face it. Every woman dreams of how the love of her life will propose to her. We want it to be a surprise, also romantic, and very sincere. But life doesn't always give us what we want.
There is a new movie called The Proposal staring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. The movie is being released in theaters June 19Th. It is a comedy about a pushy executive that bribes her assistant to marry her so that she will not lose her job and be deported back to Canada. Her assistant, played by Ryan Reynolds agrees to play along under a few conditions. The couple head off to spend time with his family. One crazy situation after another and the two begin to look at each other a little differently.
The situation in the movie The Proposal is not the typical way that most people become engage. So how did your mate propose to you?

Wedding Ice Sculptures

An ice sculpture is a must-have for many brides and grooms these days. Not only are they eye-catching but you can use them as a focal point at a food station or at your bar.
It is another great way to incorporate the theme of your wedding. If your wedding theme is two hearts, then why not have a two heart ice sculpture? Best of all, they are not as expensive as you may think.

Savvy

The last post I did, referred to a savvy bride. So I started thinking, what exactly does savvy mean. I have used the word and heard others use it, but what exactly does it mean?
sav·vy
adj. sav·vi·er, sav·vi·est
Well informed and perceptive; shrewd: savvy Washington insiders.
n.
Practical understanding or shrewdness: a banker known for financial savvy.
tr. & intr.v. sav·vied (svd), sav·vy·ing, sav·vies (svz)
To understand; comprehend.

So are you a savvy bride?
