Atlanta Food Trucks are Here!

Food trucks have been popular in other cities such as New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles for years. I am happy that they have recently come to Atlanta. I am a big fan of creativity, so I am delighted that some couples are incorporating them in their wedding celebration.

Your guest will be delighted to eat simply delicious food. Some great items that Atlanta food trucks serve are sliders, tacos, hot dogs, burritos, fries, cupcakes, cookies, and Popsicles.

Food station at your wedding

A great alternative to the traditional plated or buffet dinner for your wedding reception are food stations. Food stations are a way for you to get creative with your dinner and offer a variety of choices for your guests to enjoy. This also allows guests to get what they want and exactly how much they want of it.
Some wonderful choices of food stations are: mashed potato bar, pasta, seafood, Asian, Mexican, cheese or chef carving station. That's just to name a few, because the selection is endless. This is a great idea for both large or intimate receptions.
Happy planning!

Macaroons

They are called macaroons. Whether you want to describe them as a cake, biscuit or a cookie, they are delicious! Originally from Italy, but made famous by the French, this light dessert is a wonderful alternative to cakes or cupcakes at your wedding reception.
As you can see from the picture, they come in a variety of colors and flavors making it easy to tie them in with your special day. It's also a great choice as a favor for your guests to take home. Edible wedding favors are always a big hit.

Mozzarella + Tomatoes

One of the perks of working in the wedding and event industry the last few years is all the delicious food I get to sample at tastings and events! Mozzarella & tomatoes is by far one of my favorites. It is a great light hors d'oeuvre to start with and your guests will love it.

Fig + Prosciutto

I love...love...love fig wrapped in prosciutto! It's a delicious burst of flavor in your mouth. That makes it a wonderful hors' douevres for your wedding's cocktail reception. But don't just take my word for it, try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Bacon + Shrimp = Heaven. Two of my favorite foods paired together. What could be better?
If you are looking for a dish for your wedding reception or rehearsal dinner that will surely be a big hit with your guests, why not try bacon wrapped shrimp?
It is shrimp kicked up a notch. Sounds so good! Don't you agree?

Chocolate Fondue Heaven!

A couple weeks ago I went to a premier tasting event for Dipp'd-The Fondue Experience. I love love love chocolate so deciding whether or not to attend this event at the Alpharetta Athletic Club was not an option.
This is one of the tables set up with milk chocolate and a milk chocolate flavor creation with whiskey in it. We also enjoyed white chocolate and dark chocolate tables with delicious flavors such as pumpkin with our strawberries, marshmallows, and brownies.
A fondue is a great idea for an intimate dinner or dessert for two or a large group. Talk about delicious!

Family Style Seating

Family style seating at your wedding reception is a big hit at receptions these days. Looking down a long table full of your closest family and friends is so much more inviting than everyone being spread out at smaller tables around the room. You have the option of putting just a couple of tables end to end or connecting several tables to go from one end of the room to the next.

Shrimp and Grits

A great southern style dish for your wedding reception is shrimp and grits. It is a very tasty combo. Comfort food is a wonderful name for food that everyone knows, loves, and is comfortable with. Serving it in a martini glass makes it even more stylish and allows your guests to mingle while enjoying every bite. I enjoyed every bite of mine at an ISES event earlier this year.

Gazpacho

If you are looking for a great hors d' oeuvres to serve at your wedding cocktail reception to tide your guest over until dinner, why not think about gazpacho? Gazpacho is a tasty cold soup with raw chopped tomatoes, onions, and, peppers, and herbs. It is a great dish served by itself, but feel free to add shrimp or lobster to it if you'd like.

Sliders

A wonderful way to make your wedding reception guests feel right at home is to serve comfort food. Don't want to serve food that your great aunt has never heard of? Then sliders are a mini version of the great sandwiches people love to eat.
These bite size burgers are just the right size for any wedding reception or event! After all, who doesn't love a great burger?
