The Knot Georgia

The new Fall/Winter issue of The Knot Georgia magazine just hit stands last week. I was honored that Your Champagne Wishes Events was able to be a part of the popular publication. You can find me on page 46 in the Expert Advice Section. My feature is called Catching up with a Planner.

I was able to give brides tips on everything from making and keeping their budget, figuring out their wedding style, design details that are normally forgotten, to adding local flavor on their wedding day. Readers also got to see some colorful flower choices that I used in a bride's bouquet, centerpiece, and to decorate a cake that would be perfect accents to a fall or winter wedding celebration.

Wedding Day Planner Launch Party

Last night, I went to the Wedding Day Planner Launch Party at Sweet Water Brewing Company. I suspected that a lot of Atlanta's wedding professionals and engaged couples would be there. So, I was wondering how all of the invited guests were going to fit inside of the brewing company. I was excited to see a big white tent outside when I arrived which meant the party would be inside and outside.



Wedding Day Planner is a resource for engaged couples to assist them in finding vendors as well as giving them tips and checklists to help them stay organized.



All of the food and the desserts were delicious. I had a great time networking with the best in the Atlanta wedding industry as well. I even went on a tour of the brewery to find out how Sweet Water makes their beer.

Atlantan Bride at Mortons

I was delighted to receive an invitation when The Atlantan Brides Magazine asked the top wedding planners in Atlanta for an exclusive preview. Last Wednesday, we enjoyed a delicious three course dinner in the private dining room at one of Atlanta's finest rehearsal dinner venues, Morton's The Steakhouse.







Here are pictures of our dinner menu, our bouquet centerpieces, the cutest DJ I've ever seen (the cake), and the great view of outside seating by the fountain.

Atlanta Occasions Launch Party

Last night, I attended Atlanta Occasions launch party. A great group of not just wedding, but event professionals where there to celebrate the new luxe guide to planning wedding, corporate, and social events.

Heather Vreeland, Publisher & Editor-In-Chief, took a special moment to thank everyone for attending the party and showing her so much support in the process.

I loved the way the room was divided up with sheer at The Foundry at Puritan Mill. I haven't been back since I did a wedding there in September.

The extra long bar and of course the complimentary drinks were a big hit. I admit that I enjoyed my favorite......champagne of course.

The flowers and the illuminated tables were beautiful. As you can see by the empty glasses on table, a good time was had by all.

Atlanta Occasions Magazine

Atlanta Occasions is an online resource for weddings, corporate, and social events. Now they are having a launch party to celebrate their new magazine which hits news stands this summer. Your Champagne Wishes Events, LLC is delighted to be invited to the celebration on July 30TH. We can't wait to attend! I will be sure to tell you all about it.

Hotel Palomar Midtown

Yesterday, I attended a Lunch and Learn networking event at the brand new Hotel Palomar in Midtown Atlanta. The event was hosted by Atlanta Occasions Magazine and Atlanta Bride and Groom Planner.

The Hotel Palomar is simply beautiful. It is everything that you would expect from a luxury hotel. The lobby was filled with wonderful artwork, a fireplace, a huge fish tank, and marble everywhere you looked.

When I went upstairs to the terrace level, I was pleased again with what I saw. They have ample seating, fire pits, an outdoor bar, and cabanas. Sitting on the beautiful terrace for a few minutes can make you forget that you are in the heart of the city.

Get Married Magazine

Earlier this week Get Married made a big announcement! They will premier their first issue of a national magazine starting in October of 2009. This is great news for brides to be. You can watch Colin Cowie, celebrity event designer, and Deanna Pappas weekdays at 7:30 AM on Lifetime Television, and you can go to http://www.getmarried.com/ for planning tools and to find local resources right now. Starting in October you will have inspiration in a beautiful print form. Here is a mock magazine cover that Get Married released.
I don't know about you, but I am so excited about this wonderful news. Stay tuned in the coming months for more information about what is being called the new shopping and trend guide for the savvy bride.

The Knot Georgia

Thursday night, I had the pleasure of attending a fantastic industry networking event thrown by the knot. Leslie Karrer and Sharon Hagans of the knot were great hosts.
As you can see the rooms were full of lots of wonderful eye candy. Everything from the flowers and dessert bar, to the linen on the tables was gorgeous.

The guest had an opportunity to give back by donating canned goods to Hosea Feed the Hungry. It was a great time to hear what is new with the knot, eat hors d'oeuvres, meet new contacts, and catch up with colleague in the wedding industry.

Here is a look at the lobby of the W Buckhead on Peachtree in the heart of Buckhead. I just love the modern decor of this hotel.

Southern Weddings Launch Party

Last night I had a wonderful time at dogwood restaurant. We were all there to help the ladies of Southern Weddings Magazine celebrate their premiere issue.

There was a full house of Atlanta's wedding industry professionals as well as quite a few out-of-towners who wanted to be a part of the launch celebration.

Everyone was delighted to see Chelsea and Tec, the adorable newlyweds from the cover of the magazine in attendance. I've got my issue. Go and get your!

Southern Weddings Magazine

January is an exciting month for Southern Weddings Magazine! On January 6, 2009 the premiere issue hit newsstands. If features 52 pages of real weddings, as well as celebrity wedding and event professionals Preston Bailey and Mindy Weiss.
On Sunday January 18Th they are celebrating their launch with a party right here in Atlanta! How lucky are we? Go to their blog and RSVP today so you won't miss the fun.
