In February, I had the pleasure of being invited to Get Married A Toast to the South Soiree at Opera. There was a breathtaking mirrored table designed by Bold American Events & Catering.

Tablescapes
As a member of ABC (Association of Bridal Consultants) I get to participate in wonderful educational and networking meetings. At our March meeting, we had an exciting tablescape competition at 550 Trackside.
If you are environmentally conscious, you can do great things with a green themed table. Notice the cute party crashers at the table?

Bells of Ireland
The first time I saw these flowers my eyes got very big. I had to find out what these unique long stemmed green flowers were called. They are called Bells of Ireland and they mean good luck.
They are paired with two of my favorite flowers in this unique bride's bouquet. As you can see, they add a dramatic effect.

Anemone
This is the first post of our new Flower Meanings series. So we decided to start at the beginning of the alphabet with the letter A. We selected the beautiful Anemone. Anemone means to forsake or forsaken.

This is a clean tight centered flower and it would work well if your colors are black and white. Perfect for the bride ready to take her vow to "Forsake all others."

Our Family Wedding

Is it true that when you marry someone that you marry their family? If so, Lucia and Marcus maybe in some trouble because of their meddling dads in Our Family Wedding. Not to mention Lucia's mom who is planning the wedding of "her" dreams.
Lance Gross and America Ferrera star as the loving engaged couple and Forest Whitaker and Carlos Mencia star as their dads. The cast also include Regina King and Diana Maria Riva. I love these stars, great wedding movies, and look forward to seeing this movie when it is released March 12, 2010.

Double Wedding Ceremony
What do 2 brides + 2 grooms =? Double the love of course! We had to share with you the double wedding ceremony of Cedar Wang to Howard Yu and Cindy Liu to Zhack Zhao. The two couples are very good friends who decided to share in this special time in each others lives by having their weddings together. So when was the best time to do this? Valentine's Day weekend of course.
Your Champagne Wishes Events, LLC had double duty coordinating for the couples and arranging all of the lovely flowers for the wedding and reception. It was a unique and wonderful experience working with two great brides who had very different visions to blend their styles together.
It rarely snows here in Atlanta, but wouldn't you know it snowed their wedding weekend. But a little snow wasn't going to stop these four. They drove off from the church to the reception with the top down on the bright yellow convertible Jeep as planned as if it was 90 degrees outside. Gotta love it!

Valentine's Drink

Valentine's Day is almost here. It is one of my favorite holidays, because it is a time to show the ones you love that you care. So whether you plan to spend a nice quiet romantic night at home with the one you love or have a fun night out on the town, make it special.
If you are looking for a special drink for Valentines try a Love Potion! Here is what you need:
2 oz cranberry juice cocktail
1 oz raspberry vodka
splash of grenadine
splash of grenadine
splash of lime juice
ice
Directions:
Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker and strain into a chilled martini glass. Add raspberries and chocolate to garnish. Enjoy!
